Is your exercise program working?

If you have started a weight loss program, you have probably (or should have) added some form of exercise to your daily plans.

A simple walk around the block might do it initially to gradually get you back into exercise. Sometimes you can do cardio to get things going and boost your metabolism.

Several months ago, I purchased a fitness program called P90X. It involves different workouts for 6 days a week for a period of 90 days. Initially I started out strong- really trying to stick to the 6 days a week program. I couldn't really do all the exercises, but like the video says --'Do your best and forget the rest'

I took before pictures and just today updated with some more pictures. Although I do see some muscle developing in various places, overall I wouldn't give myself a thumbs up at this point. For the last 2-3 months I have been struggling just to do 3-4 workouts each week.

In short, I think I need to step up the program, maybe add some additional cardio to the mix to get my metabolism boosted back up. I think all this extra weight needs a serious boost to get rid of. Casual walks around the block won't cut it anymore. My body is used to that at this point.

Stay tuned for more updates on exercise programs that work and diets that don't.
